RCom Rolls Out 3G Tablet

 ADAG group telecommunication firm Reliance Communications (RCom) has made entry in the tablet computer section with the introduction of Android operating sytem (OS)-based Reliance 3G Tab.

The company has set a price of Rs 12,999 for its new offering.

In a declaration, Mr. Mahesh Prasad, President, RCom stated, "We believe the unmet demand of a fully-loaded tablet at an aggressive price point will now fuel the aspirations of the evolved customers."

The newly launched Reliance 3G tablet features a 7-inch touch screen together with Android 2.3 OS.

The tablet comes packed with 512 MB RAM and a micro SD external storage that can back up to 32 GB data storage card.

The company has 3G network crosswise 333 townships in 13 Circles.

The company's report stated that the tablet will come with discounts of around 50% on the monthly and yearly data plans.

Reliance 3G Tab is being rolled out in the national capital, Mumbai and Kolkata and will be available in Reliance World and Reliance Mobile stores crosswise the 13 circles where firm has 3G network by the coming days.

At 11:05 a. m., the stock of the company gained 3.3% to rule at Rs 86.65 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 363 and a low of Rs 149.10 on BSE.

Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 18.35 and 11.09 respectively.
