Today Is AIDS Day killer virus Dec 1st

      HIV is abrivated as Human Immunodeficiency Virus which  damages the body's immune system by destroying CD4 + lymphocutes. This CD4 cells help us fight infection. Therefore the destruction of these cells by immunodeficiency virus results in susceptibility to various infections.

                  
How is it transmitted: HIV infection is transmitted through unprotected sexual contact, blood transfusions or blood products infected by sharing drug needles and from mother to child during birth and lactation. However, HIV is not transmitted through mosquito bites, tears, saliva, urine, hugs, kisses, casual hands, waving, working together, taking a bath or swimming, with people living with HIV. In India, migrants, truck drivers, sex workers and injecting drug users are most affected. In turn, transmit the disease to their wives, children and customers.

                    How to get tested: Center for Integrated Counselling and Testing (CTIC) offers free testing and counseling. CTIC centers are present in all district hospitals and doctors who test positive schools.Those referred to an accuracy of antiretroviral therapy (ART) center.

         Treatment: Once a person is infected with HIV, the virus can not be eliminated from the body. However, there are medications that can suppress the level of virus in body.These medications are available without charge to all schools of art. All HIV-positive patients can not be put on treatment immediately. Treatment is initiated on the basis of CD4 count and stage of disease. Treatment should be continued throughout life. It is very important to follow the treatment to prevent the failure of the drug regimen.

Protecting and supporting children affected by AIDS: In the short term, National AIDS Control is trying to reach as many children living with HIV as possible to give treatment and care and support they need.

 Contact: The National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) program by 35 holding companies control HIV / AIDS, and 269 art centers throughout the country. The art center in the MLN Medical College provides HIV testing, treatment, counseling, nutritional counseling and medications to patients registered AVR.
